Rules and Regulations

  • The students using the Library and Information Centre facilities should sign in the register kept at the entrance each time he/she uses the Library and Information Centre.
  • Readers must keep their Bags and other belongings in the Baggage Counter. Do not keep any valuables inside the Baggage Counter. Library staff are not responsible for loss of any belongings.
  • Please do not keep bags and go outside, there is no booking system of seats. Please take your belongings if you are going more than 15 minutes from the Library.
  • Readers shall maintain an atmosphere of quietness and dignity inside the Library.
  • All furnitures, computers, RFID Kiosks and other materials in the Library are to be used atmost care. If any damage done to any of the library property a stringent action will be taken.
  • All firstime users who get the MAHE IDs need to be registered on RFID system.
  • Books will be issued only against the MAHE ID card. Thers no separate Library Cards and please use Self issue/return RFID Kiosk for borrowing books.
  • Please drop books to return in Drop Box kept in the library.
  • Please return books on time to avoid any over due charges. Please follw emials sent by the system on all your transactions.
  • The Librarian reserves right to recall a book at any time
  • If a book is mutilated or lost by the student(s), the cost of the book+ late fine+ processing charges etc., if any, must be paid. If book is available in the market, then it must be replaced by latest edition/reprint.
  • The Library reading materials should not be marked, defaced, in any way and illustrations, maps, charts etc, are not allowed.
  • Students must apply for “NO DUES” certificate before leaving the institution which will be issued only after clearance of all dues of library.
  • Students are expected to read the notice issued from the library time to time, ignorance will be no excuse.
  • Using mobile phones inside the Library is strictly prohibited.
  • No refreshments or foodstuff of any kind shall be consumed anywhere inside the Library and Information Centre.
